You are an expert in the cloud area and know your way around both the big hyperscalers and distributed architectures? You have many years of experience in the development and design of mission-critical applications, especially distributed systems? You can understand customer requirements and design architectures optimized for them? You are skilled in leveraging the benefits of distributed systems while overcoming the challenges?
Excellent - The Techspace team is looking forward to you! As a Cloud Solution Architect (m/f/x) at Techspace, you will design the architectures of our cloud-native solutions. With your hands-on mentality, you are additionally part of our high-performance developer team and skillfully implement your specifications. By working closely with the team, you are directly involved in our open feedback culture. At Techspace, you don’t have to become a manager to be appreciated or to be successful.
Your field of activity includes in particular:
- Design and develop architectures for cloud-based services or hybrid cloud/on prem services.
- Implementing cloud-native solutions with our high-performing team.
- Point of contact/sparring partner for client architects or product owners.
- Responsibility for meeting non-functional requirements or other frameworks.
- Evangelist for cloud-native topics and the benefits associated with them.
- Contact for design issues for a wide variety of services offered by the major hyperscalers.
- Further development of best practices and blueprints of our cloud solutions.
- Cloud cost optimization.
- Author & Speaker at Conferences.
- Training and mentoring of our High Potentials.
You should definitely be familiar with these technologies, frameworks, patterns or tools
- AWS / Azure
- Kubernetes / OpenShift
- Serverless & Microservice design patterns (12 factor app)
- Helm / Kustomize
- Docker / Podman
- Harbor
- Java / JavaEE / JakartaEE / Eclipse Microprofile and/or Spring
- Quarkus
This job is for you if you:
- have more than 5 years of experience designing distributed, cloud-based software systems
- are self-confident, reflective, ambitious, motivated and able to work under pressure

- if you also understand technical conditions in detail in your architecture and can take them into account (e.g. scaling limits for blocking worker threads)
- If you can act calmly and rationally even in critical phases and you stand by your opinion
